Online Learning Opportunities

Supplemental Educational Services (SES)
Free Tutoring
(The Enrollment Period is closed for the 2011-2012 School Year)

Supplemental Educational Services offers tutoring for eligible students free of charge and parent may choose the tutoring company that they think is best for their child. Private tutoring companies will work with your child and the district will pay the bill. Only students receiving free or reduced priced lunches are eligible for SES. Free and reduced lunch applications are available in the front office if you would like to see if you qualify.

While every effort will be made to accommodate every request, federal law requires that priority for service be given to the lowest performing, lowest income students, based on performance on statewide student assessments. For that reason, until the district receives all the responses from all the interested, parents, there is not guarantee that we will be able to provide SES to every child whose parents apply for these services.

Eagle Press Publishing Company

Dr. W. J. Creel School Eagle Press is a publishing company sponsored by the PTA and is run by volunteers at school. The purpose of the publishing company is to encourage children to use and develop creative writing skills, to value writing, and to share writing with others who will also value the child's efforts. It provides an opportunity for students to have their work recognized in a professional format as well as provides parents with an irreplaceable keepsake. Every child can publish books for free. Eagle Press is always in need of volunteers to help with cutting, pasting, and making these great books. Eagle Press is open on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you would like more information or would like to volunteer please call 259-3233.

Save Your Box Tops

Dr. W. J. Creel School is collecting box tops to help earn money for the school. The money can be used for a variety of things that your child will benefit from including new playground equipment. Box tops are on a variety of food item packages. Take time to clip your box tops and send them in!

We are also collecting pop tops from aluminum cans to benefit the Ronald McDonald Charities. Take time to help provide help for a family in need.
